Question: How can I improve my environment?

I’m a Permaculture Design student, and I have a problem. Actually I have a lot of problems, but the biggest problem I have is an enormous crush on my idol, who talks all about Permaculture.

Answer: I feel a little bit sorry for you, but proud of you at the same time. This must have been extremely difficult for you to do.

Best advice I can give you is be honest and be yourself; everyone has worth even if people too often make each other feel like they don’t. Life is weird, don’t force it, go with the flow; don’t let your runaway emotions turn you into some kind of crazed internet stalker.

It can be very frustrating not knowing how to express how you feel without fear of rejection; been there, done that. There are many ways for people to love one another: respect, admiration, pride are all expressions of love. Just realize that even if love is unrequitted (not returned in the same way) that you own your own emotions and only you can control how you feel. Even if people try to make you feel bad you control how you react.

Know that with experience you will build self confidence and it WILL get easier. It won’t hurt any less, it will just get easier to deal with.

Be patient.
